Grand Theft Autumn

Another post, another season…
While not official via calendar, it’s safe to say that autumn (I find that word so much prettier than fall) has arrived. As temperatures begin to drop taking the leaves with them, our wardrobes shift to warmer colours and bundled layers, even in our vacuum of a virtual world. Two staples this season are hoodies and jackets, so in hopes of making up for our extended summer absences, we’ve decided to showcase a little of both.

Ok, so maybe I’m still clinging to a memory of summer with this adorable cropped hoodie from Pink Outfitters. However, it easily transitions into fall with a simple tank layered underneath and the burnt shade of orange always evokes thoughts of the season.

Autumn is Nic’s favourite time of year and considering the latest men’s release from Laqroki, I can see why. This preppy, layered hoodie is a perfect match for your favourite pair of jeans creating a cool, casual look.

From Indian Summers to nights below zero, hoodies definitely have the chill factor this season calls for.

Coats and jackets can serve above and beyond their duty of practicality to give any outfit a distinguished layer. I’ve donned the charming Chidori Coat from BareRose with its superb texturing and high, detailed collar. BareRose is always a steal as most of their clothing comes in a variety of colours at one refreshingly low price, but I decided upon what is forecasted to be the colour for fall – mustard (dijon if you prefer the upper echelon of condiments). It should be noted that this coat comes in a full length variation and a cropped version to suit many styles. Speaking of styles, Novocaine’s latest hair release is without a doubt my new favourite updo.

Laqroki scores another win for men with its High Collar Coat. Nic kept it neutral with tones of beige and brown bringing attention to the structured design and sculpted features of the jacket. This coat in particular has versatility as I’ve seen Nic dress it up to military standard, or down for lazy fall fare.

Make the most of your avatar’s jacket layer this season for a style that withstands the calendar, even in a timeless Second Life®.

  1. Cuuuute! This is my fave season! I love the cold and the clothes that go with it. Too bad we won’t all be meeting back at KSU this fall *sniffles*

  2. 😦 you’re right, fall just isn’t the same without KSU. We even scrapped the obligatory “back to school” post because it just didn’t feel right.
At least the Tableau protection festival serves well for random reunions!

  3. The entire Laqroki line is the bomb! the textures and the attachments are flat on fly namean.

The BareRose coat looks very stylish crime solver ; Murder She Wrote Blogged.

  4. Love your pic!

  5. @James – Haha Murder She Blogged! Oh James, you’re always so clever. We’re both really happy that you like the fall forecast.
    P.S. What a great blog you’ve got!

@Monta – Thank you so much! We always appreciate you and your comments 😀

  6. I looove that cute little hoodie – how adorable! And I agree, the Laqroki clothing line so far is very nice, I hope they keep churning it out for the men …and get their giftcards working soon! It’s girlfriend-gifting-heaven!

  7. Dove, you would take cute to new extremes in that hoodie! And yes, it’s nice to have something for the guys, though I selfishly await a new release for women from Laqroki. Giftcards are always a fab idea, but Nic is a compulsive shopper *shock* and buys it all before I can even ask him what colour he likes!

  8. I’m not compulsive, I’m just a man who knows what he wants. Dahl, you of all people should know that when I want something, I get it. 😉

Thanks for the comments, people! And James, lovin’ the ebonics homie! Wurd^! \o/

  9. Legwarmers!! That’s what I need.
You both look fabulous as always =)

  10. Only as fabulous as the clothes we’re in 😉
Thank you again for the hoodie, I love it dearly as you can tell ❤

    P.S. Legwarmers would be fab!

  11. Oh anytime. I love the way you put outfits together and I’m very happy that you love the hoodie. =)

  12. Those leg warmers and the crop hoodie are the business! Love it!

  13. Thank you Char! I think London might actually be convinced to make some leg warmers of her own. Bring on the heat!

  14. I know what you mean… I love autumn. Great desingers keep releasing cute and gorgeous coats and jackets out there for the coming season. But at the same time I am still clinging onto summer….

  15. It does create quite a dilemma doesn’t it? lol
The best way I’ve found to say goodbye to summer is to pull on a new sweater dress.
There’s an abundance of them around the grid and they’re sure to have you saying “vive l´autumne!”
